Mad Cow Disease and its human form, vCJD are bad enough today. Now imagine that same disease in the future, slow-burning, incurable, highly infectious and transmitted by a mosquito bite. Civilisation has imploded as populations flee and the cities walled themselves off from the rustics in an attempt to survive. In Walking the Rain, our accidental hero, Scace, lives with his dysfunctional family in a small village on the west coast of Scotland. The story follows Scace’s battle with The Church of the Rain and the sinister Captain Black to bring the cure for the Disease back to his village.
